🚚 U-Haul Ramp Trick: Make Loading a Breeze

If you’re renting a U-Haul truck, knowing how to handle the ramp properly can save you time and prevent damage. Here’s how to secure it flush with the truck bed.

Lift the Ramp: After pulling the ramp out, lift it up next to the truck.
Insert into Slots: Align the ramp’s metal tabs with the slots on the truck bed’s edge, just inside the rear door frame.
Push Down to Secure: Gently lower the ramp until it falls into place, ensuring it’s flush with the truck bed for safe loading.

📦 Seal a Box Without Tape: Fold It Right

Running out of tape? You can seal a standard moving box securely by folding the flaps correctly—no tape needed!

Fold the First Long Flap Down: Start by folding one of the longer flaps down flat against the top of the box to create a base layer.
Fold a Short Flap Over It: Take one of the shorter flaps and fold it over the first long flap, pressing it down to cover the base layer.
Fold the Second Long Flap Over: Fold the remaining long flap over both the short flap and the first long flap, aligning it neatly on top.
Fold the Last Short Flap and Tuck: Fold the final short flap over the stack, then gently tuck its edge underneath the first long flap to lock everything in place.
Press Firmly to Secure: Press down on all flaps to ensure a tight fit—it should hold for lightweight to medium-weight boxes.
